Thoughts on Marigold?

I'm pregnant and have fallen for the name Marigold. I'm absolutely biased now and can't tell if it's a good name or not now.

Our last name starts with Mc_____ (Scottish) so maybe it'd sound too cartoonish to have an alliterative name?

Middle name is entirely undecided.

Talk some sense into me! (Or tell me it's perfect)
