[Stormlight Archive] Question about deadeyes

I was looking at This question about deadeyes and it raised an additiona question I was wondering about. >!Has anyone asked if deadeyes are unlinked to their associated shard by the process? It could explain how Sja-anat claimed true spren if the spren's link to their shard was broken.!<
