Trouble finding my family

I've been curious about who my ancestors and family were for an extremely long time now. Bio family is 0 help because any questions I ask are met with "I don't know" or "ask your auntie, she knows a lot". I DID ask her, btw, she left me on read that bitch. (Puerto Rican families for you. secretive as all hell)

The farthest I got was on ancestry, but then my free trial got wasted and I forgot about it for a couple of years. I don't have the funds to continue that atm, so I looked up places where I could find that information for free. I got to FamilySearch, but that leads me to a dead end after only two generations of family. Nobody knows anything, and it's so FRUSTRATING. I'm starting to believe that they aren't real at this point (I'm joking... sorta)
