Horse question - with the DLC teleporting armour, are regular horses the best?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I had a search for "horse" and went through at least 100 posts and couldn't see anything related.

I got the DLC last week and found the ancient armour. I'm disappointed that you can't put it on any horse, so I went looking for a decent wild one. (I was using Epona up to this point).

Eventually after 3 tries I got a blue one with 4 Strength, 4 Speed, 5 Stamina, better than the Royal White, Epona, Ganons Giant horse.

Ideally I'd like to get a 454, instead of a 445, but with the ability to customise the appearance and add thr teleport armour, are wild horses just way better than the other options?

The guide on IGN says the highest a wild horse can be is 4 so I'm wondering if I've gotten a glitch or super lucky.
