8GB vs 16GB?

Update #2: I can get the MacBook Pro M2 for $50 more than the MacBook Air M2. Which would you get?

Hi. I'm going to replace my 2015 MacBook Pro. (I keep my computers for a long time.)

Costco has the MacBook Air M2 512 MB with 8GB available at $150 off. But it doesn't offer 16GB.

I don't do graphics or gaming. It's for schoolwork and teleconferencing (Zoom -- many hours each day).

Do you think it's still worth paying several hundred $ more for the 16GB?
