parity check restarts after manual cancelation
Hi,
I'm new to unRAID and have a question about the following behaviour.
I know parity checks are required and there is a good reason one can not turn this operation off completely (e.g after unsafe shutdown), although the following appears strange to me.
After reboot, I'm always presented with a parity check (I have yet to determine why). When I click the CANCEL parity check button process is indeed interrupted BUT only for a brief period until it restarts from the beginning.
Is above normal? Why is parity check restarting if it was explicitly cancelled? Is there a difference between a parity check that is scheduled or run manually and between the one that is run due to unsafe shutdown for example. Is the latter forced and is auto restarted even if canceled?
Appreciated if anyone has some answers.
