Why do Christians still platform John MacArthur?

Is there a reason why Christians still attend John MacArthur's sermons, retweet his quotes, and still platform him despite his recent scandal with covering up a pastor who molested his own daughter?

There is written testimony of Paul Guay confessing to MacArthur that he has been molesting his own daughter, yet, instead of reporting this to the police or firing Paul, he not only kept him on staff, but asked Wendy (the daughter) to forgive her father since he's "a faithful Christian".

This was released like 8 months ago, but Christians all-of-a-sudden don't take written testimony seriously anymore, which is ironic since testimony is such a major foundation of faith for this religion.

Is there something I'm missing?
