Searching for info about a site

A while back ive been using this site called Hnet.com to convert videos to gifs and as far I can tell it was by far the best site for this sort of thing, Just today I went to the site and its no longer up. I wanted to find out why its no longer around, maybe send an email to its creators, but I couldn't find any info regarding the site anywhere, so if possible id like for someone who knows how to find info about this sort of thing to help me uncover what happened to it.
