Full time work/ holiday hrs

My son was on youth allowance and has started a full time job, he's probationary for the first 3 months. Should he cancel YA or continue to report every 2 weeks? Also how does he report hours over public holidays that he is paid for, should he count them as worked hours or no? Thanks
