Is my GPA misleading?

Hi guys. The school I go to a school that considers any average 86% and above to be a 4.0 GPA. Having an 89% average this year, I'm considered to have a 4.0. But I think other schools are much tougher. So I was just wondering if I put 4.0 GPA on things when applying for jobs, is this considered misleading? and is there some other kind of standardized GPA scale that I should be using? Thanks!
