Are there careers that i can study for and feel confident to apply for afterwards
Hi all
So i have been unemployed since September and decided i need to try and get myself sorted. Thing is I'm not even sure what kind of job i want to do that is within my immediate abilty to get. I am working at Python in the hope of getting my foot through the door to a coding career in the future, but as of right now I'm nowhere near ready to do that. All i have right now is some work experience with emails, MS Office, Excel and Access. I have experience working on the shop floor, speaking to customers and suppliers on the phone. I would like to get a job that does not require me to interact much with the public as i am an extreme introvert and would preferably not do it again.
I have been looking up jobs in my area that are mainly admin, but the problem is I don't feel confident applying for them because i doubt my ability to work with a team that requires me to verbally communicate with them a lot about job stuff as in my previous job there were people who did not listen to me and i would be blamed for it, i don't want to be responsible for people who don't want to do their job properly. There are also very few jobs it seems that are part-time.
I guess also because i haven't done admin stuff as my only job where i have worked before, it's new territory and I'm afraid of not being good enough despite it being a job i only want to do half of (sorting and organising stuff on the computer) the other half i don't (interacting with the public face to face, responsible for informing staff of x, y, z).
I think my confidence is low due to the toxicity and snakeness of the place i worked before.
Any advice is welcome
Thanks
I am also happy to go into an apprenticeship or some kind of learning to help me widen my prospects, especially if it's to do with computer programming, since that's the only job i can think of that matches what i believe would be good for someone like me.
