CannaAid Disposables

NSFWReviews

I'm seeing that there is a wide variety of opinions on CannaAid as a brand and only a few of the posts on it are currentish, so I thought I'd add to the discourse and share my experience with it.

At the smoke shop I get these at, I believe it's 2gr for 29.95. It's a pretty great deal. I can't say if this price is consistent everywhere else tho.

The packaging is basic, cardboard. Nice quality, and I personally love the teal and white branding. Feels clean.

The actual disposable is by far my favorite of any disposable vape I've ever tried. It's heavy, good quality, has a glass cartridge, and a high quality metal mouth piece, and hear me out here...I don't think this thing can clog. The mouth is wide enough that it seems super difficult for there to be a thick enough buildup to totally clog it.

But, when I do notice that it isn't hitting as easily from the buildup, the metal mouthpiece becomes invaluable. Loosening the resin up with a lighter is super easy because the metal quickly distributes the heat without risk of melting plastic.

This vape (and maybe all vapes, I'm unsure) should be stored upright, because it won't hit well if the res has settled at the top. However, the glass cart makes it so that you don't have to wait for it all to slowly flow downward. A few passes with a lighter makes it flow downward more quickly. I wouldn't be able to do that with any other disposable I've tried, so I like it.

The lower/battery section is a satisfying, smooth material, almost but not quite like soft silicone? This part of the vape also has the QR code linking to the test results and what-not so you can access it even after you toss the package.

As far as operation, it's straightforward.

You click the button 5 times to turn it on, and 5 more times when you're done to turn it off. I recommend turning it off. I'll explain more about that in a second.

Click the button twice to warm up. Takes 15 seconds where the ring around the button cycles through different colors.

Press and hold the button to drag. I've found that warming up the vape is not always necessary.

The d8 itself is very good. I found myself returning again and again to this brand. The indicas will gently subdue you and the sativas are mentally stimulating. It's honestly the first time I've felt a clear difference between indica and sativa strains.

I've tried most of the strains available at my smoke shop. My favorite is the hybrid Blueberry Muffin. The taste is spot on and the effects are perfect for any situation, in my personal experience. I can vape it during the day and be chilled out but functional and it works to put me to sleep at night as well.

King Louis VIII is an indica that is noticeably relaxing. This is the best one for sleep (in my experience). Taste is pretty neutral tbh.

Kandyland...oh the mixed feelings I have about Kandyland. It's a complicated thing we have. It's a sativa that REALLY sativizes. You'll have the sativazies for sure. You'll be alert and a lil euphoric. But man, oh man, the coughs. The kind of coughs that have people come checking on you in the night to make sure you're not dying. You can't subtly vape this one at work or something because people will check on you or at least look your direction. Can't play these coughs off with a little throat clear. They require full hacks and gags. And ya know what, with all that said, I'll still end up with another of these at some point, because the head rush from this particular vape is uncannily close to the feeling of doing whippets, and if I can get that feeling without compromising as many brain cells...Kandyland will take me out one day, but will I mind? Taste is slightly sweet if you are looking for it.

Froyo has an amazing flavor. I haven't gotten it in a long time (no reason other than I wanted to try other flavors and this one was the first I tried), but I believe it was a hybrid. I loved the effects, and it kept me coming back for more. I'd highly recommend this one or Blueberry Muffin as a first buy.

I'm currently vaping Apples and Bananas, and it's got a mild but noticeable fruity taste on the exhale, and it's pleasant. It's a hybrid strain that is even-keeled and good for daily functioning or relaxing. I feel that this one is a little more heady than others, though it doesn't touch Kandyland.

My only potential gripe is probably my own fault, but I'll mention it anyways. The battery life doesn't last too long and it charges via microusb. However, I need to add, I 100% of the time forget to turn off the vape. I imagine it's sucking battery little by little.

So, with that said, if you remember to turn off the vape then you may have a totally different experience than me. Battery life may be fantastic if used the right way, who knows. I only mention it because if you're like me (often inattentive to details) then you may want to prep for more recharges.

I don't care for the microusb charging either, since everything else I own that needs charging has moved to usb-c or has a battery life I can rely on long enough to not necessitate bringing along another cord. So, now I have to bring an extra cord. But in fairness, if I used the vape as it was intended by turning it off when not in use then I might not find myself needing to charge it throughout the day.

This is my favorite disposable vape. I don't dislike any strain that I've tried from them, and I feel distinct effects from most of them, which is something that I hadn't experienced in perusals through other brands. I find the effects to be strong but not sedating and definitely a good time to use.

I don't experience anxiety while smoking often, but it does happen to me occasionally, and so I'll add here that I can't remember which one it was, but in excess (like, 12 hits at a time, cause I zone out and just hit and hit and don't realize what I've done til I'm in the Matrix) I did feel a little tension. I wouldn't call it anxiety, but a slight unease. I wish I could report on which one it was, but I couldn't reliably say.

But if you hit it like a normal human and stuff I can't see it posing an issue

I won't speak on the lab results and what not because I don't know enough about it to say what's good and not good.

I like the experience I have with the brand more than any other I've tried
