I almost got in to a car crash

So I didn't actually get into a crash but I was so close that I'm wonder who is in the wrong. So as I was leaving my street onto a more main road there was another car indicating to come onto the road I was leaving so I started to pull out onto the road the the other car turned the indicator off and almost hit me but I slammed on the breaks just in time. So I'm just wondering if we did crash who would have been to blame.
