First time testing positive

So I tested positive today after testing negative on Sunday (was either too early or I didn’t do the test properly). Started feeling a head cold Saturday but I have pretty bad allergies so I figured it was that. It got a little worse Sunday so I used a rapid test I had, but like I said it was negative (it may have read invalid trying to think back on it but my memory is hazy).

Monday was when I really started feeling bad. Fever, chills, body aches, huge hard dark brown/bloody mucus from nose. The worst was at night (typical for me with colds/flus/sinus infections for me) and early am. Crazy fever dreams and was freezing under 3 blankets and normally I’m very hot natured so this was weird.

Yesterday was much the same, stayed in bed all day, drank fluids, etc. At this point I assumed it was the flu because of the negative test.

Last night I heard several people I had been in contact with this weekend had tested positive for Covid so I decided I’d test again today if I was still sick.

So I did the test and it was a definite positive. The sample line was very dark (if that means anything).

Been trying to get plenty of fluids. Forcing myself to eat soup and crackers. Taking a multivitamin and some airborne. Getting as much sleep and rest as possible and staying in my room. Re-binged season one of the sopranos yesterday. That was fun.
