Anyone else with a milk-obsessed toddler?

Hello dear breastfeeding community! I never thought I’d write this post, because from the very beginning breastfeeding was ROUGH for us, and the first 6 months were extremely hard on my mental and physical health (triple feeding for months, mastitis, clogged ducts, nursing strikes). I was glad I had found this sub, because, while I was exhausted and in pain and depressed, I was determined that I wanted to keep going and I’m so glad I did. Now my son is 21 months and we’re still going! However, as the saying goes, “be careful what you wish for” - he is simply OBSESSED with breastfeeding. We do it before sleep and naps and a couple times during the night, but he’s also asking for it multiple times a day (I don’t generally refuse). If I do refuse or can’t do it right at that moment, it escalates into a meltdown. So now I’m thinking - I have no idea how to actually stop! I’d like to continue until he’s 2, but at this rate I feel like it’ll be nearly impossible to do it without a huge struggle. So I wanted to see if anyone has suggestions or experiences to share? How did you wean your milk-obsessed toddler? Thank you so much in advance. Xx
