rent payment stuck on 'pending' for a week

So last week my housemate sent me her portion of rent to send to our landlord. Our process is that everyone in our home venmo or paypals rent to me a week before the end of the month, I transfer it to my bank account and then venmo it all to our landlord before the 1st.

For an unknown reason my one housemates payment to me went into 'pending' upon her sending it to me. The money has been taken out of her account but has not landed in my paypal account.

Needless to say this is beyond frustrating.

I paid my landlord the rent that I sucessfully collected but time is ticking and we are likely to get hit with a late fee if we don't get it all in soon.

I'm just wondering if there is anyway I can get this resolved with paypal or do we just have to wait for it to clear? The fact that it's been taken from her bank account and is stuck in a black hole is worse than the fact fact that we are late on rent. Kinda feels like it's been stolen from us.
