A cleaver but not a Cleaver for my dad

Recommend me

Edit: I went with this 16cm butcher knife by Coltello macellaio Giglio. There isn't much info on them but the shape looks promising. I'll test it out myself before gifting it :P I might want one too.

$108 shipped

Here's a quick measurement I did on photoshop lol. looking at it again the handle looks pretty big so I'm wondering if the advertised 16cm blade is accurate.

Hi, glad to see recommend posts are allowed!

I'm looking for a knife for my dad who primarily cooks Mexican food, think street taco style of cooking with lots of cooked meat and veggie chopping. Cleavers are a bit too big so I was wondering if there was something like a Santoku but with a little more height; 2.25-3'' maybe? He's a big guy with fat fingers (sorry pops) and the standard chef knife just seems too short. He's practically knocking on the cutting board when he's cutting.

Steel type isn't too important but something softer would be nice. He's likely going to use the standard swipe-through kind of sharpener *shudders*

Budget is $200

TIA!
