A trip down memory lane only cost me $46

There is this Christmas themed fairgrounds that comes to my town every holiday season. Last night, I had nothing else to do, so I decided to go.

My father used to take us there when I was young. I used to take my own kids there many years in a row until they lost interest. Going there used to be my New Years tradition.

Tonight, I wandered through on my own. I remembered a friend I made in reddit once, who drove 3 hours to meet me, and we went there together. I remembered the controlling/jealous girlfriend I had once, who felt so threatened by a hula hoop girl at a show we were watching there, that we ended up fighting the whole night.

I didn’t ride any rides. I didn’t have any food, or play any of the carnival games. It took me about 30 minutes to walk through the whole park.

I think it was a nice farewell to the park.
