You cannot just stop by in the middle of the day.

We both wfh but my future in-laws, very kind but oblivious retired people who only live 3 minutes away, think that means they can pop by whenever during the work day because they happen to be out and about. I really don’t like unexpected / last minute guests in the middle of the work day, especially when it’s not even necessary?

Like today she says she’s going out to get cat food and wants to drop something off (didn’t even say what) in like 20 minutes. Ok…? You live THREE MINUTES away. Can’t you just make another trip when we aren’t working? Or we’d be happy to drive to your house later today… after we’re done working.

I just don’t understand why she thinks that she needs to roll up at 2pm on a Wednesday.

They’re really kind people so I feel bad complaining about this but sometimes I wonder what is going through their heads.
