From her big sister.

Brief translation:"This is Aoyama Yoshino's sister. I enjoy both "Bocchi the Rock!" and "Bocchi the Radio!". From my view, Yoppi(Aoyama Yoshino's nickname) is very introvert and negative person, and bit mentally stable at times and she's very funny, but once she is on stage, she always brings a powerful performance, which reminded me a bit of Bocchi as guitarhero. Speaking of Bocchi, the ending song of last episode, was a cover of great song "Korogaru Iwa, Kimini asa ga furu" by Asian Kung-Fu Generation by Kessoku Band. I was surprised that this was not how Yoppi usually sings as she usually sings emotionally and very well, but it reminded me as Gotou Hitori, who is not used to singing, has summoned all her courage to sing. The arrange by Mitsui-san was also great and I couldn't stop crying. Personally, I'm looking forward to listening to other covers of Asian Kang-Fu Generation by Kessoku Band as well, from the songs that was used as title in "Bocchi the Rock!", I want to listen to "飛べない魚", "12進法の夕景". I'm rooting for both "Bocchi the Rock!" and "Bocchi the Radio!". Lastly, Yoppi, it seems like a long time but it went by so quickly since you heard the result of the audition. Your Gotou Hitori and Kessoku Band was the best. Take care of yourself and good luck with your work. I'll be always rooting for you."

"Hello. This is mother of Yoshino Aoyama, who played the role of Hitori Gotoh. She debuted in "Wake Up, Girls!" while she was still in high school, and when in weekends, she always used to go back and forth to Tokyo from Kumamoto. As a parent, I did not have any plan for her to go live alone in Tokyo from high school, and this resulted her not getting some roles that she wanted, I believe she had some sad and frustrating moments at that time. As you see, Yoshino was not very best at having good opportunities nor chances, but instead, from when she was child, she had good people around to support her. In school, in good way and in bad way, she was very memorable kid, so much that I believe even not the teachers of her class would remember her. She used to have a cheerful childfood, her friends called her "Yoppi, Yoppi!", and often come to our home to play with her and have sleepover parties. This part was different than Hitori-chan, so I was worried if there would be any gap between them, but as I kept watching on, I started to think that their cores are quite the same. Through "Bocchi the Rock!", I can feel that she is supported by many things, such as this radio, many events that were organized with love by their staff, the members of Kessoku Band, many fans are cheering her wholeheartedly. Please, keep on cheering for her. And lastly Yoppi, your body is your biggest capital. An healthy body will have a healthy heart. I'm always cheering for you."

(sorry if some parts were hard to understand)

Thank you for translating! My Japanese isn't good enough for me to understand radio shows without any captions. I'm a recent Yoppi fan, I think she's incredibly talented, funny and charming. I'm actually pleasantly surprised to find out that she's had a couple of idol projects (WUG, D-Selections and Tokimeki) early on.

Her mom's vr gave me a bit of a clue on the gap of her works from 2017 up to BTR. Having to go home to Kumamoto all the way from Tokyo every weekend would really limit one's work opportunities. It's such an asian mom thing to say "your body is your biggest capital". Lol.

I don't know anything about her personal life but she did mention in this episode that her upbringing was very "kibishii" (strict) and on another episode that her parents would make her write an essay whenever she wants anything from them, which I thought was pretty f-d up but also relatable as someone who grew up in such an environment.

This is just me speculating (and perhaps projecting) but when her family says that there's a gap between Yoppi irl and Bocchi, I think they just saw her as someone who's cheerful and outgoing but did not realize her struggles with socializing in public because of her guarded life. In any case I'm glad Yoppi's now getting wonderful opportunities and has people who continue supporting her.
