Music similar to damaged bug?
Is there anybody else having a similar style? Damaged bug is such a weird and fun project.

Brian Eno, Space Art, Can, Damon Edge, Gee Tee, Traffik Island, Automatic, Ashra, Satanic Togas. All have simular vibes. Not every track but all synth heavy and I know the first four I listed are influences on John.

Been listening to your suggestions a bit. Automatic hits the spot. Her "dead" sounding voice is ice cold and badass i love it. The synths are also spot on! Thank you!

JPD did a remix of one of their songs. Plus they have opened for Oh Sees before. Super cool band, their new album is too good.

Check out Half Hexagon. Very cool project from NZ. Their singer, Yolanda Fagan is also in Echo Ohs and Na Noise which I’d highly recommend to any Thee Oh Sees fan as well.
Apart from that I hear a lot of Silver Apples influence in Damaged Bug. Give them a try, if you haven’t already.

I played transmute for a friend once and he thought it was Duster. I have never listened to Duster though so I have no clue lol.

As others have mentioned though, Silver Apples are who you really need.

Silver apples- synths, acoustic drums and weirdness.
Really good answer! The cover for Hubba Bubba was definitely influenced by their 1969 LP Contact, for sure.
