What is a good Wilbur Smith novel to start with?

Hi guys,

I’ve heard great things about Wilbur Smith and his writing career but have never got around to reading his historical fiction books. I just researched his catalogue of books and it’s exhausting 🤣 What is a good novel to start with from him? I’m looking for one that really shows of his prowess at depicting Africa / Egypt landscapes and way of life in a unique way (I’ve heard his prose is great for this). Thanks heaps!
