Opinions on Disney's role in Kingdom Hearts

I'm looking at the inclusion of Disney within the series. As the series progressed, Disney has become mostly pushed to the side when dealing with the original plot. I'm wondering if people are okay with this or people want them to play bigger roles in the narrative like they did in Kingdom Hearts 1 and Dark Road.
