Should I randomly ask a girl I'm crushing on out on Instagram?

There's this girl that I've met a few times irl because of mutuals and everytime we meet she is always looking at me and sending strong choosing signals and I genuinely think shes attracted to me. However I've messaged her two times and despite her fast responses they were dry and i didn't attempt to make conversation.

But for awhile now she's been on my mind and I think her birthday was recent and I'm planning on just straight up asking her to let me take her out to celebrate it together, should i go for it or am i just being creepy and pushing it?
