Going to live on my own for the first time - any advice would be appreciated
I (23F) am moving out of state on my own for the first time - any tips?
Backstory: I moved out of my family’s house when I turned 19, so living on my own is not new to me - however, I have always lived with a partner that was there if I needed them, as well as the additional safety aspect.
My, now, ex-boyfriend and I (23F) have recently broken up and I decided that I’m going to take the leap and move out on my own, to a completely different state where I know no one. I’ve wanted out of California for years, and now that I’m not in a relationship and I don’t talk to my family, nothing is holding me down and this is the perfect time to go.
I do have a large dog (added security feature), but apart from buying a Ring camera and a first aid kit, I’m not sure if there are any essentials that I’m missing.
Any advice on safety items, being a woman that lives alone, or even just moving out of state by yourself would be greatly appreciated! TIA :)
