Reading Comprehension Guides

Reading Comprehension is the hardest section to improve at, but it's not impossible. I've written a few guides on this that have produced pretty rapid results for those that have tried them.

My focus is on improving reading speed, and retention. The former is a long term goal, but it produces outsized results for the rest of your life, not just on the LSAT.

I wrote an article about Reading Comprehension over at 7Sage:

Books

Good RC resources are kind of sparse. I'm linked to two books, mostly because some people really want to read a guide before doing questions. (I prefer just to do questions)

  • LSAT Superprep - This is worth getting for other reasons, but it has a really good 12 page overview of the Reading Comprehension section, straight from the LSAC. It's the best RC guide I've seen in any major LSAT prep book.
  • Powerscore Reading Comprehension Bible - I don't personally recommend this - I think you're better off reading RC passages. But some have found it helped them identify the important parts of passages, and take better notes. (I prefer not to take notes)
