Before I make a a $300 whoopsie, how well does the Microprism interact with A2 front sight?
Also, with the microprism's eye relief, did you have to remove the rear sight to get the optic back on the rail far enough?

You’re not going to see the front sight through a 3x, not well enough to use it anyway. If you really want the ability to use irons just in case either put the 3x on a quick detach mount or get a set of offset iron sights.
I’m probably going to get the same optic for my AR, I’ve been researching it too.
I should've clarified - I wasn't worried about trying to cowitness the irons, I was worried about my field of view being obscured by a big ass blurry out of focus front sight post haha.
It’s hard to describe what it’s like to have a front sight in the way of a magnified optic. You will see a little darkness in the bottom portion of your field of view. It won’t totally obscure your vision through the optic.
I have one mounted to an AK. Yes the eye relief is quite short. You might be able to get the sight to clear a rear BUIS if you use one of the included cantilever risers. If it really becomes an issue, I don’t see an issue from a practical standpoint of having the BUIS in front of the optic. It’s unconventional for sure but if using the large aperture I think it will still work.
