Reduce stutter in dx11 while waiting for CDPR
So, even the dx11 version of the next gen upgrade increased a lot the CPU requirements, crippling performance in my system (i5 4590, GTX 1070), taking me from a 70fps average with lowest dips at 50fps, to 60fps average with lowest dips at 30fps
To improve the stability and the variance of that average, since I couldn't in any conceivable way reduce enough the CPU utilisation, I accepted the idea of playing at around 36fps and just set almost everything (grass density to low, foliage visibility to medium, no hairworks) to Ultra+ and the resolution to almost 4k using Nvidia DSR. With this I have much less FPS but the CPU is less involved and hence the stutter is almost gone
In the end I noticed that increasing the load of the GPU to the point in which on average you have: GPU utilisation > 90% CPU utilisation <85%
The stutter doesn't come up and the pc can handle fairly well sudden appearance of NPCs or loading new areas
Hope it helps, have a good day
