Freiza kidnapped, enslaved, and tortured Vegeta physically and mentally for 25ish years. Not to mention literally destroying his entire planet and everything and everyone he'd ever known. You don't just get over that.

Frieza didn't kidnap him nor did he torture him. You've read too many fanfictions. He also only cared about his planet in that he wanted to rule it someday. Nothing but just his own ego.

So yeah he can certainly get over it.

kaesdeyna•

You must've watched Kai or something because in original Z in the episode "The End of Vegeta" he explicitly tells Goku as he's dying that Frieza kidnapped him as a boy and threatened to kill King Vegeta if Vegeta did not follow his orders...

original Z

The Funimation Dub is literally not canon at all. So take your "you must have watched Kai" nonsense out of here because I also watched original Z in JP and Kai is actually more faithful to the original dialogue there and in the manga.

I agree it’s not but it’s a pretty solid interpretation of the situation.

Vegeta does have a reason to wan to kill Frieza, it's just not really for revenge for destroying the saiyans and their planet. In Broly, Vegeta is concerned that Frieza is still evil and out there, and that he may acquire a new form in order to surpass them. And that does end up happening by the Granolah arc. He knows Frieza is evil and sooner or later will try something to threaten him, Goku and the Earth. In both Broly and the start of the Super Hero prequel arc in the manga, Vegeta is the one most concerned with the presence of Frieza, so he does want to take out Frieza. But it's not really motivated by a desire for vengeance for the saiyans or even having to work for Frieza, he's gotten over a lot of that stuff. But that doesn't change that Frieza is still a threat, and Vegeta recognizes that. Doesn't stop fans from feeling like Vegeta needs to get revenge for all that, Vegea may be over it, but they aren't.

IndieBooToo•

so vegeta fans are petty bitches basically. like vegeta. freeza should have killed him.

-3
MemongaOP•

So what? Frieza's not doing shit to Earth. Like oh boo hoo he's training to get stronger. He's allowed to. He also ended up surpassing them and what did he do? Took care of the big bads of the arc and spared everyone else. So makes Vegeta sound paranoid if anything given nobody else feels that way in-universe.

If Vegeta himself doesn't care about revenge anymore(because he moved past it) but his fanboys feel he should totally get revenge, then they don't know anything about the character they drool over and are seriously projecting onto him.

Also if Vegeta really wanted to take him out, he could have done it after ToP. But he didn't so clearly he doesn't want him gone that badly.

You do understand that Frieza still plans to kill them right? In Broly, Frieza arranges for Broly to fight Goku and Vegeta, and after the battle's over, talks about wanting to recruit Broly when he learns to control his power so that he can kill Goku and Vegeta. Frieza's gone through some character development, but he still wants to eventually kill them as far as we're aware. He is an active threat, and that is something Vegeta is concerned about. Vegeta's not hunting Frieza down, but he knows that Frieza wants to kill them, and he needs to be strong enough to stop it when the time comes.

9
MemongaOP•

And why did he not kill them when he had the chance?

And he talks about defeating Goku and Vegeta not necessarily killing them but needed a partner because he can't take them on by himself. The whole Broly rampage was just his way of testing Broly's strength.

He's only an active threat to Vegeta and his fanboys. Mostly everyone else don't care. Vegeta's not hunting Frieza down because Frieza hasn't done anything to them in years. He even spared them. Vegeta's only grief with Frieza now is that he's butthurt that Frieza's way stronger than him now. It's just an ego thing.

Bro do you seriously believe they don't plan to make Frieza a main villain again? Lol you're delusional

5
afrodeity23⠀•

He says he didn't kill them because he wasn't after them that day, he came to kill the Heeters. Like I said, Frieza has changed, but he's still very much evil. He's still the emperor of an organization that commits genocide for money.

In Broly, he says he wants someone to massacre them. He also earlier warned Paragus that while Broly is free to kill Vegeta, he wants to kill Goku himself. Keep in mind, in that movie, he also said that he initially had not intention of fighting Goku and Vegeta at first, only wanting to get his wish and get out, but when he saw Broly, he saw a potential opportunity to kill them. Frieza does want them dead, but he doesn't appear to be in any great rush to do it.

Frieza tortured and killed him

MemongaOP•

Vegeta had it coming for betraying him.

comandermander•

Terrible argument. I guess slaves deserve to be killed when they escape because they “betrayed” their owners. You’re just on here to troll.

5
MemongaOP•

You are once again projecting onto him. You Vegeta fanboys are such a sad bunch. Do realize if Vegeta got his wish and overthrew Frieza, he'd take his place and enslave the rest of the universe.

And yes poor Vegeta. The guy who slaughtered many people and on Namek, slaughtered many Namekians to get his selfish wish.

MarkThyWeeb•

Good job, you found Vegeta's hypocrisy, must have been a tough one to crack.

Half the point of the Moro arc was Vegeta attempting redemption for his past sins, you know, character development.

Frieza didn't kill them, no, but I believe it's for a selfish narcissist reason. Frieza has always been fond of toying with his prey (His original fight with Vegeta when he got to his fourth form, basically half the people in the T.O.P and now Goku and Vegeta) It's his mindset, he wants to show how much more he is now, compared to their prior fights.

Literally just psychology 101, not that hard, homie.

RondoOfThe5•

Because whether he isn't doing anything right now or he helped in the TOP he is going to come back and take everything from them hell he did the same thing in revival of F had whis not reversed time they would have been screwed.

Vegeta is the one who sees this goku nonchalant ways got earth destroyed already and he doesn't learn vegeta needs to put him down for good and for the future. Plus I still haven't forgiven how F robbed us of a kill from vegeta

3
MemongaOP•

That's just baseless speculation. A what-if. If he hasn't done anything in years but focusing on his empire, then Vegeta just looks paranoid. Frieza could have easily killed them on Cereal and yet he did not.

Vegeta doesn't nor will he put down Frieza at all since Frieza isn't going anywhere. While Vegeta might be a bit concerned(paranoid), clearly Goku and everyone else don't give a damn. And I love how you pin the blame on Goku for Frieza destroying Earth when it was Vegeta who was running his mouth and not finishing the job fast enough. Vegeta deserved getting his kill stolen and now he will never get it.

-1
RondoOfThe5•

frieza has come back to destroy the z fighters 3 times whether he did in cereal or doesn't matter he just didn't do it yet

And frieza seems to be being set up as another major villain yet again so vegeta has a right to be paranoid at a guy who has come bald just to screw with them.

4
MemongaOP•

He's only come back twice to try and destroy them. Mostly Goku. Since then, he's stopped. And yes it does matter because he could have easily ended Goku and Vegeta on Cereal but did not.

And the rest of your post is just fanfiction based on paranoia. Vegeta is mostly just upset he got oneshotted by Frieza

Let's also not forget all the harm Vegeta caused the Z fighters and everyone else in the past. Like when he had his mid life crisis and went on to massacre hundreds of innocent people just to get Goku to fight him.

-1

And the rest of your post is just fanfiction

You really like saying this.

You may wanna take a look at your own words homeboy.

Also!

Paranoia: unjustified suspicion and mistrust of other people or their actions.

Frieza: A galactic tyrant who blows up planets he doesn't like, enslaved the entire Saiyan race, nuked them when he got scared of the Super Saiyan Legend, took over Namek, slaughtered basically the entire population, came to Earth with his dad with the intent to wipe everyone out, died, trained when he came back to life to try and kill Goku and everyone else after that. Died again, was brought back for the Tournament, explicitly said even after he was given his life back that he wasn't going to become good, and was going to keep doing his evil ways, exploited Paragus' want for revenge against Vegeta to try and get Broly to kill Goku and Vegeta for him, then went to go train after that plan backfired, came back and killed Gas, one shot Goku and Vegeta, said he'd spare them only because he wasn't there to kill them that day.

Vegeta has a good reason to be paranoid about Frieza. Because he isn't changing, Frieza HAS in fact fucked with them in recent years. He's building up his empire and he's clearly being set up to become the main villain again. I don't really care about your opinions on people wanting Vegeta to get revenge. Just stop with this baseless bullshit about good guy Frieza.

3
kaesdeyna•

Wrong.

Mecha-Frieza came to Earth after Namek, then again after he was resurrected (RoF), and then again after he was given life by Whis (post-TOP) and had managed to recruit Broly.

He came to Earth 3 times, albeit to run hands with Goku each time, still.

2
RondoOfThe5•

Three times and now four with his new transformation just cause he didn't do it it doesn't mean he won't specially since he has done it 3 times prior

His paranoia was confirmed correct by frieza showing up in the granolah fight he isn't upset he knows how frieza operates and what he does.

1
LowCalligrapher3•

His son also royal blood ended up killing him, good enough for me.

2
MemongaOP•

And now said son has lost basically everything he loved along with his universe.
