Dialogue tags for deaf character who only signs

One of my characters is completely deaf and does not speak vocally at all but rather signs. So I’m wondering what sort of dialogue tags I should use? With characters that do speak vocally I can use a variety i.e. shout, whisper, hiss, etc. but I don’t want use “signed” as a dialogue tag excessively and i don’t want overuse “said” in general either so I’m not entirely sure what to do.
