Thermarest new winglock definitely better?

I won a thermarest sleeping pad which happens to be exactly the same as the one I have, except for the newer winglock valve. I was thinking I would sell my old pad and keep the new one for the winglock.

Anyone have experience switching from old to new valve? Is it definitively better?

It’s still sealed in the box and while it might get a bit more money I’m imagining I’d like the new valve!
