You guys are so techy lol I'm over here thinking "What make car go brr? Okay I shall put piece in car, and make go brr" 😂😂

Nice. But as an engineer, I want to point out that the weight of the flywheel, pulley, etc is irrelevant. What matters is the moment of inertia. Despite this, manufacturers of such parts provide the weight and not the MoI, which triggers me

You're forgetting about the importance of unsprung weight by going with lightweight wheels.

Also, engine speed and acceleration will increase by reducing mechanical drag via lighter flywheels and pulleys, which will allow higher revs and quicker out of the corner acceleration.

However, how much without addressing the limiting factors of valve train and the main rotating assembly, remains to be seen.

I'd love to see a before and after comparison

I wish I had the money and/or time to get some real dyno numbers or race track times. Sadly I put things on, drive the car, and think, "Weeeeeeeeeeee."

That's about as technical I can get with my results.

Sounds like you're enjoying it and having fun. That's the best part

That's why I did not mention wheels - weight and moment of inertia are both relevant in that case

"By reducing mechanical drag" you say 'mechanical drag' when you mean moment of inertia. That is the thing which resists change in angular velocity.

Correct. Just don't feel the need to use the engineering terms...as most of the folks here aren't engineers.
