GunFighter Tactical does the same thing, whatever they can’t sell to the citizens of California. GFT refuse to do off roster sales or standard capacity magazines to LEO!

157

I Kinda wish some my fav. gunstores like u/RifleSupply and u/SecondAmendmentZone start doing this. But I'm pretty sure they relay on the LEO to stay afloat.

DMURRICA•

We can only hope all gun stores/ gun companies do this. If the the state restricts the citizens, law enforcement should have to abide by the same rules.

42
cagun_visitor•

The problem is it only takes one asshole company to put money before principle and the asshole gets awarded millions of dollars from dog killers while the virtuous companies struggle. Applaud to companies standing up for principles, but unfortunately this method will never give the political ruling class even a scratch.

I would think there are far more sales generated by law abiding citizens purchasing firearms than LEO's. I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I would think agencies are issuing contracts directly with OEM's, rather than dealing with LGS's, no?

2
Just_Regret69•

Doesn’t say law abiding in the 2a, a right is given by god and can be taken by no man

4
umfuckno•

Is that what you told your LGS when you couldn't pass the background check?

I used to buy all my ammo from GFT just because of this.

10
dasguy40•

They were based. Sucks they got out of the sales business. Maybe that’s why?

4
walletburner•

not that it will put pressure to change policy, but it's a good look for sure.

jmills64•

I wish all ffl’s would follow suit.

2
BIRBIGD99•

I wish all gun manufacturers did this

let police feel our the infringements

84
ColaBottleBaby•

The laws would change over night if they all did it

18

It’s not the police’s fault. It’s the politicians.

Rob the savage basically told LAPD, “come pick up your rifle in Florida, we aren’t working on it or sending it back. Y’all figure it out.”

Can't lie, I'm aroused.

Don't forget the time Barrett tech support got a call from a Marine in a firefight and they talked him through the issue. https://www.businessinsider.com/marines-m107-sniper-rifle-failed-during-firefight-so-he-called-customer-service-2017-4

That seems like a normal thing to do.

6
TheMuddyCuckBrain Damaged•

If every gun manufacturer did the same, we'd have a lot more progress.

24
PeakCautious212•

Imagine a world where every time they cracked down on hun rights the gun manufacturers all stopped selling to the government.

5
HamburgerEarmuff•

I would be happy if they just stopped selling products to the state that they cannot sell to its citizens: no off roster firearms, no "assault weapons," no suppressors or automatic weapons or destructive devices.

6
MrBanditOneLA County•

Barrett also sold the .416 version of the M82 on the civilian market in large part to be able to sell to jurisdictions such as California that banned .50 BMG rifles. The M82 .416 is easily one of my biggest dream rifle purchases.

20
2wheels4ayes•

IIRC the 416 has better ballistic performance and is actually used in Naval applications because of this.

8
HamburgerEarmuff•

For a precision rifle, yes. The .50 BMG was designed to be fired from a machine gun, not 2 kilometers at a point target. That's why the Army is phasing it out as an anti-material sniper rifle.

5
jdmor09•

Single shot though, still expensive as hell though

1
shamushi•

I think that’s the M99 in .416. M82 is semi in either 50 or 416

I wish more companies would do this ...

545byDirty9•

My move-out gift to myself with be a Barrett 50. I am 100% serious. Its already priced into the move.

10
HamburgerEarmuff•

You can also get an MRAD. Other than the suppressor, it's California legal.

1
ClassBrass10Edit•

Exactly this, moved four months ago, still trying to find an M82 priced with or without optic at a reasonable price. And the LGS down the street just put a Barrett QDL on display/for sale. FML

From what I hear serbu does the same thing

Fuck yea!

🅱️ASAD AF !!

7

But didn't they just sell out to an Australian company?

6
vnab333•

the company is NIOA group, which is the little post it in the corner

10
ihatelifetoo•

My respect for BARRETT 📈📈📈📈

3
jazoooooooo•

i guess i’m buying an MRAD now

3
Legio-V-Alaudae•

I read Ronnie was particularly incensed the LAPD used their own .50 cal for the fear mongering press conference about the issue.

2

If all manufacturers did this the laws would change in a few months
