Ugh, I don't know what I think is worse, his behaviour or how media have made it into a freakshow rather than talk about the issues :(

I dunno, I'm kind of torn on that - in a way I think it's better to marginalize it than to take it seriously - I'd rather they focus on the sorts of attitudes taken by people in everyday life rather than the extreme crackpots like this guy. Not that they're likely to do that anytime soon either, but still. I suspect that if this guy was taken seriously - if they put him on and tried to get a serious debate going, for example - he'd actually be more likely to attract more followers because the media is treating his opinions/actions/ideas as something worthy of serious consideration.

I don't think they should interview him seriously, because of the same reasons you stated. I was more getting at that instead of discussing why his behaviour is problematic in their jounalism, they more hang him out like "this is what a mentally ill pua look like!". And it more becomes focused on how weird he is because of that illness, something he can't control himself, rather than how bad and possibly harmful person pua culture turned him into.
I'm not great at arguing or getting my points across, but something like that.
