The formula to destroy Black Fleet.

Darkness

We have control of the wellspring in Savathun’s throne world. She utilized it to neutralize, and incapacitate Rhulk inside his pyramid ship. So likely it’ll be used against them in future conflicts right?

Than Mara has learned/gathered enough paracasual witchcraft for shattering it via her own tactile resonance. Reminiscent of science——Glass shatters when exposed to a certain frequency because the acoustic waves of sound cause the molecules to vibrate. If the acoustic frequency of the sound matches the natural frequency of the glass, the latter starts to vibrate at a larger amplitude, potentially disintegrating its structure. Hence the pyramid tech being called RESONANCE too.

Mara usually died upon impact. Only surviving due to possessing a throne world. But if we nullify pyramid ships first with wellspring technique. Mara could “split” them more effortlessly.

Mara already destroyed a Pyramid ship herself, with Eris in tow. She didn't need a Wellspring then.

The usage of Wellspring as stated above is to nullify the power of the Pyramids for Mara to destroy them without dying and returns to her throne world.

There's nothing to suggest Mara dying is required to destroy a Pyramid. She could share info on what went on in there, now that she's ostensibly an ally.

Pretty sure Neomuna folk will have some technobabble weapons to destroy Pyramids.

In the trailer, one of the Cloudstriders uses a Guided Rocket Launcher and visibly damages a Pyramid, so I guess their nanotech is adaptable enough to pass through those weird defenses the Black Fleet has.

Hold on there sir, what’s the lore book??

The one that came with Witch Queen. The Hidden Dossier i think.

It's in the physical booklet from Witch Queen's collector's edition.

I’m going to segue from your post to a different thought. Is it possible that the glass splintering motif common in Lightfall marketing has something to do with resonance?

It’s an intriguing thought I hadn’t actually considered.

I’ve commented before that the campaign fight with Savathun has the player collecting the glass breaker buff, in which you’re also severing her webs to the traveller. I think the glass splintering motif is the witness severing our connection in some manner due to this.

That’s interesting

Don't think so. I believe it has to do with the aspect of Strand that allows us to interact with the Weave dimension.

Just divide it by zero, then it becomes undefined and doesn’t exist.

Osiris told Zavala that Vance figured it out, and the description was that of the pyramids literally melting. Sounds pretty metal.

edit: vibration is also how microwave ovens work, i think? so, it could be that they are vibrated into pyramid goo :)

Does it have something to do with the noise Vance would hear occasionally at the Lighthouse?

1
tacticutie•

I dont think so. I think it had to do with the visions he had in the Trials and Tribulations lorebook (like the last entry mostly).

My theory: The noise he heard was the darkness and light. When guardians died a final death, the only sound that could be heard was the tone of the darkness. And it sounded cold and sharp. When Vance encounters his doppleganger in the infinite forest, he cannot see it but feels that it turns "cold and sharp" in his hands. ie A darkness doppleganger.

So maybe the red darkness subclass will be liquid based, sound based, or radiation based

1
Isrrunder•

Does either of those work as the opposite of arc? Considering stasis and strand are the opposite of solar and void does radiation or liquid work as opposite of arc?

tacticutie•

Mmm..syrup-y darkness... p.s. happy cakeday :)

Bananagram31•

Confirmed, the sixth subclass will be us wielding the power of Canada

2

Maybe we should just shout at Pyramids very loud?

This is relevant considering how the paracausal force is related to the Traveler's melody and its reflection/inversion.
