Currently reading ASM Vol.3 and next I'll be reading Hulk by Peter David Vol.1
Just finished Hulk 1 and I really enjoyed it. Hope you do too. 🤞😄
Thanks! I've read it before but excited to read it again in omnibus format!
'Twas my first time and I thought it was great - a nice balance of soul searching issues and good fun ones. Been meaning to read Hulk for a while. Got Volume 2 ready to go, but then I started reading The Fade Out by Brubaker (recommended) while I was waiting.
about halfway through Hulk Vol. 3. my first time reading but it’s a blast!
Not an omnibus, but have worked my way through the entirety of the Dawn of X titles on Marvel Unlimited over the past two months. Though many of the series were a bit of a mixed bag, I still had a fun time reading through it all. I mostly followed the issue by issue reading guide by The Gotham Archives which did a pretty great job mapping it all out in chronological order. If we get Dawn of X omnis one day, I hope we get similar mapping.
My ranking of the Dawn of X titles:
Onto X of Swords this weekend!

Dude I hated those issues! (191 and 192.) That was the point I decided I just needed a break from X-men

Currently reading amazing Spider-Man by Nick Spencer omnibus and next I’ll read fantastic four by John Byrne volume 2
Fantastic four by byrne is soooo good. Love she-hulk with the team
Finally finishing Venom by Cates and Stegman, just starting the King In Black issues.
Just finished death of captain america omni last night and really enjoyed it, great follow on from volume 1.
Next up is the old republic omnibus, love Star Wars and heard nothing but good things from this omni.
Currently reading many things all at once just to have some variety. Recently finished: •avengers by busiek vol 1 (loved the main issues especially when they explored the relationships between the characters, however I found avengers forever very boring, repetitive and kinda pointless) Currently reading
•ASM by JMS vol1 (love it so far, very true to classic peter/spidey)
•Batman by loeb/sale (love it, amazing, 11/10)
•Sandman deluxe vol 1 (very creepy and cool)
•Captain america by brubaker vol 1 (kind of a reread since I read the first 15/20 issues some years ago digitally, hope to finish the entire run now that I have the physical version. Stopped reading it at the time cause I wanted to read it in omnibus format)
•X-men by claremont/Lee vol 2 (finally finishing claremont’s run, they have become my favourite superhero comic books, so so good)
When I finish this bunch I think I’ll dive into death of superman and continue x-men, captain and ASM vol 2
Tmnt vol.7 right now. Gotham central will hopefully get here by Friday.
Just started Vol. 7 this week. The IDW TMNT books are really addicting but I'm trying to pace myself.
Getting through Starman compendium vol 1, it just keeps getting better so I’ve gotta get vol 2
Daredevil by Soule
Really enjoying it, too.
Kinda not reading comics due to a bit of hero fatigue. Started my first ever Sanderson book which is a great change of pace
Currently about halfway through the Infinite Crisis Omni. Enjoying it so far. I really liked the Greg Rucka Omac issues, felt reminiscent of his spy stuff in Queen and Country, and a lot of the computer perspective stuff was very cool. Felt like Justice league vs Hal 3000. I'm currently reading through the Villains United issues which are fun, although a little overwhelming at times to be introduced to so many characters I'm unfamiliar with. I do really like the Characterization of Deadshot I these issues though.
Also currently halfway through Geoff Johns Aquaman Omni. I actually didn't mean to start reading a second book, but I got Aquaman in the mail yesterday and I opened it up for a second to take a quick peak and an hour later I realized I read half the book. Very fast read that sucks you in right away. The issue if Mera going rogue at the grocery store was my favourite.
Wrapping up Xmen vs Avengers. It was cool.
I think that’s the best critical review AvX ever got
It wasn't as bad as everyone kept saying. 100% have read worse lol
I think the problem is the actual conflict is fair, but the inciting incident could’ve been completely avoided if the characters just talked. Kinda makes the whole fight and characters dumb, plus the justifications on both sides also paints the characters dumb
You’d think with that many great writers they would’ve had it be more of a justifiable conflict
I mean I still have the Omni on my shelf ready to read, so doesn’t bother me that much
I see what you're saying, the only think that makes me feel like it was legit was that Cyclops is kicking and screaming that all of this just follows suit with what keep happening to mutants.
And cap responds, "yes but no, we know better".
It's the whole, "rich people are disconnected from reality because they don't know what it looks like to live 'normal'" argument from cyclops.
Etc etc. obviously civil war was a better conflict because the government amd law was involved. This one seemed more like a big ass misunderstanding which still was a good story.
Illyana putting marvel girl in hell was cool, ross trying to take things into his hands was cool, the younger crowd getting swept away was ok, the iron fist piece was pretty cool. Seeing perpectives from everyone was cool.
I read the road to avx stuff in prep for it so you can see how this even developed.
I liked it. If you want to read trash, try Batman All Star. Scott Snyder is my boy but damn that was horrible and then JRJR penciled. Jesus.
Finished Batman by Snyder & Capullo vol 2 over the weekend, loved it. Especially the Endgame arc. Started reading Wonder Woman by Azzarello & Chang, I’m about halfway through it and it’s great.
Super Spy by Kindt
Reading flash vol 1 by mark waid. Loving it so far! I’m about halfway.
Already trying to plan what to read next though, I’m thinking Batman road to no man’s land, Superman by Byrne vol 1 hc or digitally read Dan jurgens’ booster gold
Ultimate Spider-man Vol. 2. I love it, just finished the Ultimate Six part. Been dying to read this ever since I read the first volume over a year ago!
Halfway through Doctor Strange vol 1. Planning on starting Star Wars New Republic
Wrapping up The Question Omni in time for New Mutants Vol 1 to arrive this weekend.
Oh I also finished up Question not too long ago, you have a favorite issue?
Currently reading JLA/ AVENGERS really enjoying kurt gets each character perfectly no surprise as he worked most of them and George artwork is amazing all the way through! 9.5/10
Before that love & Rockets heartbreak soup: another great read slowly picking the series up and enjoying it too. 9/10
