Customer loyalty fob to unlock cabinets

In order to reduce loss from theft many retail stores are placing items behind locked cabinets. Today, you have to flag down a clerk to unlock the cabinet and hand you the item.

What if stores issued their customers a security fob, similar to those small loyalty cards you can place on your keychain. Those fobs would allow you to unlock the cabinet.

To eliminate someone stealing your fob and using it, when entering the store, you scan your fob and key in your code. The fob would be active during your time in the store.

Customers would always have the option of flagging down a clerk to open a case.

This product would help to reduce loss due to theft and also allow customers to retrieve items from cabinets themselves.
