Try a clean install + deleting of all temp and cache files (manuals to that can be searched on this very reddit)
Also check, that your virtual ram is not on an hhd
I don’t have any HHDs. Game is installed on 2TB, page file is setup here.
I’ve done a clean install and clean up (as much as I didn’t want to re-download the game).
I’m convinced that the stuttering has to do with ram, Vram and general speed of your pc in all areas. So you can either increase the 3 or lighten the load. I refuse to buy a new pc just to run this game, which is ironically the only game that’s hard for my pc to run. So here’s what I do. In the launcher, make sure you click “clear cache” before starting game and when changing maps that you run, restart and clear the cache again. Turn off all graphics settings. I have aliasing at TAA, Lod at 2.5 and Reflex on, some post fx settings, and that’s it. "Disable Full Screen Optimizations" and run in fullscreen. Check "Override high DPI scaling behavior for application” not sure if that did anything but can't hurt anything either way. Turn Textures down to medium or low. I read that higher textures cause more vram load, turning it down helped me get streets to run when before it would disconnect me, after that I turned on Ram Cleaner. With textures high, ram cleaner caused stuttering for me, with textures lowered it actually increased my performance. My game looks bland, but I’m not stuttering even on lighthouse. And I run very minimalistic settings on my graphics card software as well, having everything set to performance. Flush dns and delete logs as well every once in awhile.
Thanks man but none of that would really target my issue or is something I’ve already tried. I have plenty of ram, a fine CPU and a 3090.
I already run the game with almost all setting turned off, textures on medium (have tried low).
Try turning your resolution down to 1080, Drop fov to 50. I would start at the bear minimum and see if it still does it. I would also make sure your graphics settings on nvidia are setup right, performance on most of them, max power, reflex on, etc. Perhaps other programs are using up your resources as well with causes hitching
This game is so finicky, I’ve had friends who had to factory reset their pc just to get this game to run right.
Yeah I know it is. I work in IT so haven’t tried and checked most of this stuff over the last 1-2 months, hoping something knew will jump out at me though but so far nothing. Thanks anyway man
Ignoring my shit aim and the scavs bush ESP...
Basically, I get random stutters during the raid but only when shots go off. Sometimes I can only just hear the shots, sometimes I can’t hear them at all but know it’s happened because of friends. Other times it’s when I shoot.
Haven’t changed graphics card in 2 years, used DDU when I changed. Binaural audio is turned off.
Specs; RTX 3090 i7-10700k 32GB DDR4 3000MHz NVMe SSD
I run at 2k with no fps limit
