Record stores on the island?

Question

I’m a DJ (not working this week, just vacationing) that tries to dig for records while traveling. Are there any record stores or places to check for vinyl records on the island? Google isn’t giving me any real locations and the few DJs I’ve talked to here are all digital, and don’t know any spots. Was hoping to score some soca/dancehall/island cuts while down here, so thanks in advance for any help you can share.

Don't think they have a physical store, but maybe contact them on insta and ask about their collection.

I was at the Wine Room and they had a small record collection... i think just to play when you are drinking wine, not actually to purchase.

I honestly don’t think you’re going to find anything. Your best luck would be vintage from garage sales or estate sales, but the odds are obviously slim. The climate is hopeless for preservation of… well, anything and you’re most likely to end up with ten copies of Michael Jackson albums and Gloria Estefan.

Oh, I’m an idiot and forgot about WorldBeat Records! Perhaps you can reach out to them on IG or FB? AFAIK they don’t do much in terms of soca or dancehall and they might not be particularly active at all, but they may be able to give you some pointers at least.

Nothing really of note. I tried a few months ago...
