Peugeot Dealership in the 80s

As a kid in the early 80s, getting driven from Nana's place in Westbrook to Scarborough beach, I swore we passed a Peugeot dealership ... but for the life of me, I can't remember if they sold cars or bicycles.

Can anyone help me out?

I don't know the dealership you mentioned but Peugeot, Saab, and Volvo were oddly popular in the 80s so I'm betting it was cars.

Honestly, the only Peugeot dealership I can recall was McElman's in Woolwich. We had bought a used one that I loved for a while; the battery was under the back seat which was the most-convenient place I've seen for a weirdly-placed battery.

Wish we had Peugeot and Citroen for sale in the States today. Cool designs to them.

Pugs had the best ride of any car. Postwar roads in France weren't that great.

It was import cars. My parents bought a Mercedes 240d there. Almost bought a Peugeot. Dodged a bullet on that one. That 240 went 325k miles.

Snow's Garage was a Citroen dealer in Penobscot. They may have also sold Peugeots

There was a small Peugeot dealer and service center in South Penobscot. I remember going there once with a friend who lived in Bangor with his wife but who had to drive a distance for service on his 505. It was the only center for Peugeot in that part of the state. That would have been about 1990 or 1991.
