32mm socket for oil filter change. What options do I have ?

Hello, I want to do an oil and oil filter change on my car. Its a tiguan 2008 5n 4motion 103kw.

Can someone tell me how to open the oil filter ? So far i found a 1/2 32mm socket, 1/2 250mm extension and a 1/2 ratchet.

Are there any better options ? buying this tools will cost me 50 euro ;(

They have specific oil filter sockets for applications like this. I use them on a lot of GM vehicles that use the PF457GO AC Delco filter. So type into Google "32mm oil filter socket" it will be a shallow looking wide socket with a 3/8ths hole on it, better than a half inch socket.

It's for normal oil filter not for one with 32mm hex head. Get the correct one.

That is the wrong one. That is for a typical oil filter. The toll your looking for will be a lot smaller than that.

W80683 is a part number. See if you can use that to cross reference and find one. Alternatively, go to your local parts store and they will have one. It's typically around $10 USD, relatively cheap.
