My husband who is also our DM commisioned this art of my OC by Ukrainian artist Yodich.

This is my Blue Goliath druid of stars who is also daughter of queen/a former heir to the throne of Duape, nation that consists of divided tribes and is surrounded by bigger and technologically and magically more advanced colonizers.

When she was 14, she stopped being an heir to the throne because of being The Speaker, a creature of ancient Duape legends whose mere presence poisoned creatures not native to their continent.

Her powers were locked, and she was sent away for education to be able to advise her queen-mother on foreign politics.

But in her travels she found out that Speakers are children of Ngati, not personalized deity of nature and wildlife, life force, who also created the continent out of lava-torn pieces. Others Speakers didn’t go extinct, they were enslaved and locked away by her queen-mother in attempts to evade possible war because of Speakers’ threat to outsiders.

Finally, we found one of Duape ancient temples where there was druid/Speaker oracle, sitting inside of a sphere in the center of the world. That druid holds the continents together and protects it through streaming life force from plane of Ngati to material plane.

My character, Whetu, decides to take place of oracle inside of the sphere since oracle is barely alive.

We had Whetu absent for 12 sessions after that and then she returned due to some changes in the world, but this was emotional moment. Yesterday was actually the final session of our 2 years campaign in this setting.

(I imagine that “Spellborn” by Sham Stalin plays while she sits alone in darkness in that sphere trying to not let the world fall apart.)

We destroyed cast system and slavery, successfully protected our people from becoming colonized by outside forces and bigger empires of our continent and basically tightened connection of our plane to plane of Ngati, bringing life force everywhere and eliminating a few threats including poisoning outsiders and the continent falling back into lava hell.
