Will oral minoxidil keep working through short-term TE?

I've been taking oral minoxidil for about 6 months now, 1.25 mg. I've also taken spironolactone for several years to control my AGA, so the minoxidil is just to stimulate hair growth. I know it works by causing hairs to gradually thicken over repeated growth cycles. I've started experiencing TE in my eyelashes and the hair on my head for several weeks because I adopted a stressful schedule. There isn't really anything I can do about it, so I might have TE for a few more months, until things get better. What I'm wondering is, how will this affect the thickening of hairs from oral minoxidil? Will the individual hairs continue to thicken, even as they're falling out from TE? So when I recover, my hair will look better than ever? Or does this put a halt on all progress?
