Upgrade to ID.4 or wait?

Okay. I know that this is probably something I should just figure out, but I want opinions. :)

I need longer range and an AWD option. However, I could make it until next winter before it’s an absolute must.

Situation - I own my egolf outright, no payments left. I have a great lease option on an ID.4 with the $7,500 rebate and a guaranteed trade on my egolf of 12k. No too shabby.

When I bought my egolf 6 years ago, I figured I would upgrade in 2-3 years b/c the EV market would be better by then. Well. Here we are. It hasn’t until just about now (and it’s still not that great). I honestly don’t think we are going to see this incredible leap in 2 years when my lease on the ID.4 will be up, either. Maybe a few cars with 400- mile range. 🤷‍♀️ which really isn’t necessary for me.

Question - Wait a little bit or go for it now? The landscape could change by this fall and see lower prices, but also lower trade in value for my golf.

What to do?
