This is my favorite SW series to date. It's a perfect continuation of Revenge of the Sith, and I love how its basically about Darth Vader's effort to completely purge every last hint of Anakin from himself. Those moments when Anakin is still shining through a little bit really get to me every time. I have the series in four TPB volumes. I wish I had picked up the omni when it was released!

Currently reading Darth Vader by Soule. Only a few issues in, but it starts off with a bang!

Totally agree about x of swords! I walked into that book expecting very mild things because of the reviews but honestly I think I enjoyed it more than Hickman's main X-Men run!

Finished **X of Swords** this past weekend. Maybe it's my own tempered expectations, but I quite enjoyed the series. There were some dud issues for sure, but for the most part it comes together quite well. I like that it leans into the goofiness of it all and doesn't feel the need to get overly melodramatic. The highlights would have to be the Hellions issues, but I also thought *Wolverine* \#7 was an excellent issue (largely in part to the trippy artwork by Joshua Cassara) where we get the amazing fight between Logan and the Summoner. Gorgon and Isca the Unbeaten are also two of the more underrated characters in the whole saga. And despite the tedium that were Tini Howard's Excalibur issues going into X of Swords, I think the whole thing comes together quite well. Overall, I give the crossover event a 7.5/10.

Also read all of **Middlewest** by Skottie Young and Jorge Corona. Usually stories like this come off as a bit inert for me, but the artwork alone is reason to check this series

Lol hear you, i actually started reading spawn for the first time in December, where do you buy your stuff from? If you only care about the story itself, instocktrades website has a damaged section and i think i saw compendium 3 on there yesterday for like $30.

Yeah, never had the opportunity to really read Spawn as a kid, got only 3 issues but then I quit comic books.
Now that I restarted my collection I wanted to learn more about the the character and thought that the first 50 issues would give me enough knowledge about him.
I was not planning to buy all the compendiums (there are 4 as of today), but damn, the 50th issue (the last one in the first book) ends in a motherfucking cliffhanger and it was literally impossible to not buy the second volume.
Just hope that this doesn't happen with this second volume too; it's is a nice read and all, but I'm not looking forward to buy the whole collection.

Nice, I’m going through the first Spawn compendium now

Spawn Compendium 2

Project Superpowers Omnibus 1

Currently reading nightly news by hickman - I’ll rate it a 9/10 it’s amazing and creative in both art and writing while not destroying the idea behind comics

Recently finished UXM 1

After this I’ll probably continue with either Destiny of X or UXM2

This week was a big one. I read the entire ASM 3 Omni. I think it just keeps getting better although the ending with all of the potion shenanigans was a bit strange. 8.5/10

I also finished TMNT idw 5, and it was excellent as always. Big cliff hanger. 9/10

I’m in my Batman reading order I have made it from year one to Batman and the monster men. Year two was really neat. I liked the reaper as a villain.

This week it’s time to take a break from spidey for a bit and continue with Batman and TMNT. Hoping to make it to Knightfall soon.

I just finished the third Ennis Punisher Omnibus and now I am reading Daredevil by Bendis Vol 2

Uncanny X-Men vol 3. Right in the middle of the disturbing Brood Shenanigans. Debating whether to start Cap vol 2 by Brubaker or wait for fall when four and five reprint.

Currently on volume 2 of Grant Morrison’s Batman run. Wasn’t sure if I’d like Frank Quitely’s style in a Batman arc buuuuut I love it.

Finished recently: GM Batman volume 1. I’ll stick with what I said last time, I didn’t get every nuance, but I freakin’ inhaled that book.

Excited to finish it out with book 3, and then I’m probably going to read Annihilation in the TPB format.

So Byrne Vol. 2 more than 1, is where he had the best ideas and "grand scope" or whatever, but it was still the '80s. Like the Trial of Galactus when you read at 15, it seems brilliant, but you read as an adult and you're like this is terrible logic. Haha

I just finished Hickman - he's got the opposite problem, he's writing for adults, but nothing ever happens and when it does Franklin does some cosmic hoo-doo and everything's solved.

Tl;dr Bendis DD gets back to the basics.

Currently reading Fantastic Four by John Byrne volume two, and I have to say I’m not loving it. Although, today I’ll begin daredevil by Bendis volume one.

I read annihilation Omnibus and the killing joke absolute. Today I start green arrow green lantern absolute

Just finished ultimate Spider-Man
Just started Gwenpool omni
10/10 absolutley hilarious
Not yet
Planet hulk or Hickvengers

-I read the 3 Tomasi omnis. They're good.

-Currently reading The Walking Dead

-I'd say 4 out of 5

-The war with Negan.

-Something from Marvel next. I'm deciding between Planut Hulk/World War Hulk omnis, AMS by Stracynski omnis, AVX omni, or Secret Invasion omni.

Last read was Batwoman, which was excellent. Although the controversy around the ending was disappointing, up until the last issue it was really great.

Currently 24 issues into Preacher and really loving it, actually having to force myself to put it down each evening!

Currently: Batman and Robin by Tomasi/Gleason

So far: Excellent.

Arc: Born to Kill was a great opener.

Brightest day omni and Grant morrison batman omni 3

Currently reading Flash (waid run)
Just read underworld unleashed and also impulse.
Keep reading flash and green lantern in order.

I would rate underworld unleashed a 7
Flash I would rate a 9
Impulse an 8.5

I agree about the Dick/Damian era of Morrison Batman, it's by far my favorite and for exactly the reasons you mention. It's so fun to have the Batman/Robin dynamic flipped like that. Also going from Morrison's version of Bruce (a man whose super power is that he has planned for literally every outcome that could ever happen) to Dick (a hero whose strength is that he's light on his feet and good at improvising, but often goes into things without a plan) is very fun.

What have you read recently?

I'm currently doing a re-read of all my Batman trades, hardcovers, and omnis. I have most recently read Batman by Paul Dini.

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Batman & Robin by Tomasi and Gleason

What would you rate it so far?

9/10 (love it!)

Any favorite story arcs?

Just sticking with Batman since that's what I'm reading...Morrison's Batman run is my favorite. I especially love the Dick / Damian Batman & Robin era. I like how you get basically the same dynamic as the original dynamic duo (Wayne and Dick), but in reverse, with Batman (Dick) being the more lighthearted of the pair and Robin (Damian) being the more serious/stoic. I also love The Long Halloween arc from the Loeb and Sale omni and I dig the Batman: TAS vibes I get when reading through the Paul Dini omni. Outside of the omnibus format, Scott Snyder's The Black Mirror is one of my all-time favorite Batman story arcs. It's actually funny how some of my favorite runs on

For the past few days, I’ve been reading JLA by Morrison, I really like it so far, but don’t think I’m far enough in to rate it just yet.

Before that, I finished Justice League, International vol 2. I’d probably give it a 6.5/10.

Definitely not my favorite read of the year, but it was a nice, light-hearted, palate cleanser, and had some really good character moments. I think the Justice League America issues were stronger than the Justice League Europe issues, and your enjoyment may be based on how much you appreciate 80s pop-culture references. Even still, it’s a very unique take on a superhero team, and really makes you appreciate some of the more minor characters in the DC universe.

Just finished Wicked + Divine deluxe year one and starting East of West deluxe year two.

Reading Promethea vol. 3 deluxe HC

After that I'll probably finish the Wakanda: World of Black Panther omni
