Bf's nMom sent him v-day texts - LC
What's she trying to pull here?
Tldr: 39M bf's 69F nMom has been getting more and more affectionate throughout the years, and texted on valentine's for the first time in his entire life. She's been creeping us out, I'm not sure what to expect next.
Ok here goes. We've been dating 4yrs, bought a house together, and his parents very openly despise me. He's gone NC with his dad (malignant narc) and LC with his mom (covert narc) for nearly a whole year. It's been a flood of horrible gaslighting/accusatory emails, flying monkeys, stalking, random "gifts" (junk they don't want), insults, even medical "emergencies" (like Ndad throwing himself off a ladder right after bf asked for some space). Lots of talk about her pregnancy with him, how he "invaded" her "very private place" for 9mo when she was pregnant with him, she's even told me about her labor and placenta. It's getting weird. He's 39, not 6.
Anyway. The most recent thing has been Ndad's heart attack. nMom called bf to talk about what happened, bf grayrocked pretty well despite the insults and denial that he had the heart attack due to severe sleep apnea. After that, it's been a week of text after text of just random stuff from her.
On valentine's day, he got 2 texts from nMom: "happy Valentine's day!" And "I just love you so so much, I have so much love for you in my heart , I love you every day." And then a glittering heart gif. Bf said never once in his nearly 40 years of living has valentine's day ever been acknowledged by her to him. She doesn't even celebrate it, never has. I can't stop thinking about it and I'm uneasy about what love-bombing thing she's going to pull next.
As long as I've been in the picture, her Jocasta vibes have been growing more each year and it's getting creepy, she's really laying it on thick. Even bf is creeped out by it and just doesn't respond to it. How far is this going to go? Why is she doing this? Is she just building up a case to show to her flying monkeys "see? I tell him I love him and get nothing back?" Has anyone else had a decent outcome from something similar?
Thank you for reading.
