Opening buds app causes earbuds to crash (Buds2 pro, windows 10 buds app build)

This just started happening recently, the earbuds worked fine before, but after I had updated to firmware R510XXU0AWA5, if you open the buds app, the music suddenly drops quality then goes dead, with random pops here and there, and it will stay this way untill the app is closed, which the audio will then sometimes return but in really low quality, however reconnecting the earbuds fixes this.

I already tried reinstalling the buds app, made no change.

Has anyone else ran into this problem, or know how to fix, as I am extremely confused as to how or why the APP would cause issues.
