why don't the fliers just fly out?
So don't get me wrong I enjoy the show, but right now all the crich being held in one part of the city just seems super unsustainable, half of them can fly, why don't they just all grab a rock, fly out from the center (as far from the perimeter as possible) at night, go straight up high then come down on the perimeter guards? The idea that humans that can fly could be entrapped in a roofless cage while the guards have primitive rifles, maybe just muskets, and no night vision or anything just seems poorly considered. Edit so I must've missed the big wire net that is apparently enclosing them, my bad, I still think a mass night time breakout would be on the cards. And also that the flying fae would make pretty decent assassins.

If I'm not mistaken they put up this enormous overhead barbed wiring to prevent the fliers getting out. This was seen when they cut part of it to get to the supply train.
Even with the wire I dont really get it. If the raven can get out, why don't they help other Fae to flee that way? Of course it's risky but better than a save death by that disease...
In such a situation, I would imagine that the more a passage/opening is used, the more prone it is to detection. If their holes in the wiring were to be discovered, chances are high it'd re-sealed and all the wiring put under stricter guard.
You're probably right, conditions would worsen! And the heads of those caught would end up at the entrance of the row next...
I mean yeah, they could. And then what ? Where do they go ? What could they do ?
Its more complicated than fleeing away. They have pretty much nowhere to run.
I must've missed that, I thought it was just perimeter fencing
