I have BPD and don't know how to date.

I (20 m) have bpd, and over the past few years the symptoms have gotten worse. More mood swings, impulsive behaviour, and heavy social isolation. I've been seeing a therapist and have been taking meds, but still struggle. On top of this a few months ago I got out of a heavily abusive relationship, where I was taken advantage of in a lot of ways.

All this brings me to where I am now. I want to get back out in the dating scene but really struggle to talk to people. I'm an average looking guy, I go to the gym 2-4 times a week. Whenever I meet someone I often end up scaring them off because I become overly invested. I'm working through it with my therapist and even have a safety net built in so I don't fall into another terrible relationship. I've tried the dating apps, and had friends set me up with people, but it always ends the same way. I know it sounds cliche, but all I really want is someone I can be there for and vice verse.

At this point I'm thinking of just giving up and focusing on work and uni. Is there any other alley ways for me? To other people with bpd, does it just get worse in life? Or am I just being over dramatic?
