Has anyone been able to successfully find se chatGPT at work?

Edit, fixing title: Has anyone been able to successfully use chatGPT at work?

I’m a software engineer, and have started playing with chatGPT to try and help code at work. I’m still learning how to utilize it, and figure out what extent it can really be used for.

So far, I have been able to get it to help me generate test data, generate well written user stories that I can tweak with better information, and I can even copy and paste complex code and get it to explain what the code is doing in understandable terms. While it can generate code snippets, I haven’t been able to use any of them verbatim, I’ve needed to tweak all of the code it’s spit out to fit my use case, and in some situations, it can’t give accurate answers because the code libraries it knows about are 2 years out of date.

That said, it is able to whip up example code that runs quickly enough where I can use it to test things quickly, and it really speeds up the speed at which I can learn how a library or feature works.

Have you had any success leveraging the tool? What do you use it for? Any tips?
